Financial Snapshot
| Period | Revenue (₹ Cr) | Expenses (₹ Cr) | PAT (₹ Cr) |
| FY24 (Mar 2024) | ₹676.74 | ₹485.70 | ₹144.17 |
| FY25 (Mar 2025) | ₹726.96 | ₹521.59 | ₹152.01 |
| FY26 (Mar 2026) | ₹821.27 | ₹610.53 | ₹160.21 |
| Q1 FY27 (Jun 2026) | ₹137.90 | ₹135.96 | ₹1.48 |
Revenue Growth: Revenue increased from ₹676.74 crore in FY24 to ₹726.96 crore in FY25, reaching ₹821.27 crore in FY26. This represents approximately 21.4% cumulative growth over two years, indicating an expansion in the company’s business.
Rising Expenses: Expenses increased from ₹485.70 crore in FY24 to ₹610.53 crore in FY26. Expenses grew faster than revenue during FY26, which may put pressure on profit margins.
Profit After Tax (PAT): Net profit increased from ₹144.17 crore in FY24 to ₹152.01 crore in FY25 and ₹160.21 crore in FY26. The company maintained positive annual profits, although profit growth remained slower than revenue growth.
Q1 FY27 Performance: For the quarter ended June 2026, the company reported revenue of ₹137.90 crore, expenses of ₹135.96 crore and PAT of ₹1.48 crore. The narrow difference between revenue and expenses indicates significantly lower profitability in the quarter compared with the annual figures.
Profitability Concern: The reported Q1 FY27 PAT margin was approximately 1.1%, compared with around 19.5% in FY26. This sharp difference warrants further investigation into operating costs, exceptional items, finance costs and other expenses.
Overall Assessment: The company has demonstrated consistent annual revenue and profit growth over FY24–FY26. However, the Q1 FY27 results show a substantial decline in profitability. Investors and readers should examine the detailed quarterly financial statements to understand the reasons before drawing conclusions about future performance.
Company Strengths
- Market dominance in SBR technology — over 80% India market share, 728 installations, 17,511 MLD daily treatment capacity as of July 2026
- Massive order book — ₹1,656.64 crore as of August 2026, approximately 2x FY26 revenue, providing 18–24 months of revenue visibility
- High repeat customer base — repeat customers contributed 91.98% of FY26 standalone revenue, up from 85.18% in FY25
- Proprietary technology moat — C-Tech, SBR, OREX technologies provide competitive differentiation in a government-tendered market
- Consistent profitability — PAT grew steadily from ₹144.17 Cr (FY24) → ₹152.01 Cr (FY25) → ₹160.21 Cr (FY26); PAT margins consistently above 19%
- New growth verticals — CBG plant orders of ₹501.7 crore opened, diversifying beyond traditional WWT/SWT; aligns with India’s energy transition goals
Key Risks & Challenges
- Sharp Q1 FY27 PAT collapse — PAT of only ₹1.48 crore on revenue of ₹137.90 crore in the June 2026 quarter raises serious near-term profitability concerns and creates uncertainty at the time of listing
- Dominant OFS — ₹518 crore out of ₹668 crore (77.6%) goes to promoters; company receives only ₹150 crore — raises questions about promoter confidence at this valuation
- Heavy government dependence — ~92% of WWT revenue and 100% of SWT revenue comes from government/municipality contracts, making the business vulnerable to policy changes, delayed tenders, and payment delays
- High customer concentration — Top 10 customers contributed 64.44% of FY26 revenue and 79.20% in Q1 FY27, with very few long-term contracts in place
- Working capital intensity — Working capital as % of revenue was 65.19% in FY26; the company carries ₹253.1 crore of debt and negative operating cash flows
- Concession expiry risk — Revenue from certain subsidiaries running WWT plants on concession basis may drop significantly when concessions expire
